Site work for a mixed-use development in Dekalb, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a golf course; museum; and playground / park / athletic field.
The project will consist of various tasks including tree or vegetation removal, general removals, excavation, asphalt milling, full depth asphalt removal, core out, aggregate gravel base, HMA pavement (full depth and/or overlay of existing), concrete pavement, storm structure(s), storm piping, paint marking or striping, topsoil, landscape turf restoration, and any related site work or miscellaneous general conditions in accordance with the construction plans at Ellwood House Museum and Buena Vista Golf Course or any other related work within the DeKalb Park District. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court upon review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract. 50 percent of the labor hours for this project must be performed by actual residents of the State of Illinois. The DeKalb Park District is exempt from Illinois state, county or municipal Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. All bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check, or bank draft payable to the DeKalb Park District for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder instructions. The DeKalb Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities as deemed necessary. Unless the bids are rejected for good cause, award of the contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder after final bid review and approval of the Park District staff and Board. Completion: No more than 120 working days after contract issued.
