The scope of work consists of providing a new ornamental fence and includes the following items: providing all labor, materials, and equipment required to install an ornamental fence and column line as indicated on the plans; performing selective site demolition work as indicated on the plans; carrying out new landscaping work identified on the plans; providing coordination to facilitate relocation of existing below grade utilities and communication services as required; and all other work as required in the Project Manual and by applicable codes and authorities. Instructions to bidders include: sealed proposals are required; bids may be delivered by dropping off at the architect's office, by approved mail services, or electronically via a designated Sharefile link. Electronic upload is the only approved method for digital bid submission, and files must be received prior to the bid date and time. Each bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit or certified check of not less than 5% of the bid, or a bid bond of 5%, based on the maximum bid price. Performance and Payment Bonds or a 25% Letter of Credit are required for contracts at or above $100,000. No emailed or faxed bids will be accepted, and late bids due to transmission issues will not be accepted. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty days after closing time, and the owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. All contractors must have proper licenses and comply with equal employment opportunity and Section 3 requirements.
