Renovation of a mixed-use development in Phoenix, Arizona. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Replacement of the existing Tube and Shell heat exchanger bundle Manufactured by Armstrong, Serial Number 539028, Model WSX-67-2, including tube-side MAWP at 150 PSI at 300F, MDMT 35F at 150 PSI, and shell-side MAWP 150 PSI at 300F, MDMT 35F. The project includes replacement of the Flo-rite Temp water heater Model 665DW, Serial Number 7470, rated for 40-140F at 63 GPM with water operating pressure of 20-150 PSIG, water MAP 200 PSIG, steam operating pressure 2-15 PSIG, and steam MAP 150 PSIG. The suggested replacement is a new plate-and-frame heat exchanger manufactured by Spirax Sarco, including a skid with the Brain Parallel Single Temperature Heat Exchanger Package/Bundle Model AEH-6E-PT-DHW-PN or an equivalent meeting the specifications of the existing unit in new condition. Work includes replacement of all worn or damaged copper lines, piping, and fittings within a five-foot radius of the old unit to ensure proper fit and operation of the new system. The objective is to ensure long-term reliability, improve energy efficiency, and maintain optimal heating performance for the facility. Location: Phoenix VA Health Care System, 650 E.
