Bids are requested for the supply of various commodities including road aggregates, liquid asphalt, bituminous surfacing materials, line painting and reflective glass beads, guide rails and posts, traffic signs and sign posts, thermoplastic pavement markings, frames, rings, and grates (cast iron and steel), precast concrete inlets and risers, manhole inserts, plastic pipe, swimming pool chemicals, wastewater treatment chemicals, fertilizers, weed killer, ballfield mixture, top soil, hardwood bark mulch, wood carpet, mushroom compost, and portable toilet rental service. Vendors are instructed to register via the PennBid platform. Questions regarding the commodities must be submitted through the "Ask a Question" feature within PennBid. Proposals may be submitted for any or all commodities. Unless otherwise stated, each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of $1,000, made payable to "SHACOG Purchasing Alliance and Its Participating Municipalities." The governing bodies of the member municipalities reserve the right to reject any or all bids or waive any minor discrepancies in the bid or specifications if deemed in the best interest of the municipality.
