As of May 19, 2026, the project was awarded to Pensacola Concrete Construction Co, with an awarded amount of $176,955.92. PROJECT NO. 2026-WAT 015 SEALED BIDS will be received for furnishing all labor and materials, and performing all work required for the CR-28 Water Line Relocation (Long Rd. to Red Star Dr.) project. The work consists of providing all materials, equipment, labor, and incidentals required for the replacement of approximately 1,350 linear feet of 6-inch water main and associated infrastructure on CR-28 from Long Road to Red Star Drive. The water main shall be 6" Ductile Iron Class 350. All service taps shall be connected to the new water main. All water meters will be located off of the right of way. It is expected that the winning bidder can complete this project in one hundred (100) calendar days, no exceptions for holidays, following a fifteen (15) day Notice to Proceed Period. All bids must be on blank bid forms provided in the Bid Documents and enclosed in a sealed, opaque envelope, clearly identified as a "Sealed Bid" with Item Name, Bid Number, City of Fairhope's Name and Address and CONTRACTOR's Name and Address. Each bid must be in a separate envelope. Bids made out in pencil will not be accepted. Failure to observe the instructions provided will constitute grounds for rejection of the bid. Bidders must comply with Equal Employment Opportunity laws and provide evidence of proper licensing in accordance with applicable Alabama law. The City of Fairhope reserves the right to accept or reject all bids or any portion thereof, and to waive informalities as needed.
