Site work and paving for a road / highway in New Castle, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
It is the responsibility of a Bidder to ensure its bid complies with Indiana law. Each BidderTs proposal shall be accompanied by a properly completed Form 96, as prescribed by the Indiana State Board of Accounts, the Non-Collusion Affidavit, the signed contract, the Bid Bond, Bidders Financial Statement, Employment Eligibility Verification, and the Drug Testing Program Compliance. Any unsealed envelope received will not be accepted and will be returned to the Bidder. Likewise, any bid received after this date and time will not be accepted and will be returned to the Bidder. The Bid Bond may be a certified check or acceptable Bidder's Bond, made payable to the Henry County Auditor, in a sum of not less than ten percent of the total amount of the proposal, which check, or bond will be held by the Henry County Auditor as evidence that the Bidder will, if awarded a Contract, furnish the performance bond and payment bond to Henry County, Indiana. The Commissioners, when permissible, reserve the right to waive all informalities in the bidding. All bids submitted shall be valid for 30 days from the opening date of the bids. Henry County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation and Title 23 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 200, Title VI Program and Related Statutes, issued pursuant to such Acts, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of religion, race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability/handicap and low income in consideration for an award. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder except that Henry County Commissioners retain the right to reject any and all bids when it is in the best interest of the county. * Specifications will be available beginning March 19th, 2026 in the Office of the Commissioners, Henry County Courthouse, 101 S. Main Street, New Castle, Indiana and the Henry County Highway Department, 202 W. 50N, New Castle, Indiana
