Site work for a water / sewer project in Hinckley, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project is for the replacement of an on-site septic system at 63885 Badger Rd, Hinckley, MN. Bids will only be accepted from licensed septic installers performing 34% or more of the work themselves; general contractors or contractors with restricted licenses are not eligible. The contractor must provide all equipment, materials, and labor to complete the work as described in the request, the 2025 MLB Spec Book, MN Chapter 7080, IHS Section 01270, and the provided Environmental Systems design. Work includes: replacing the on-site septic system according to the approved design, including the installation of a Type III timed dosing box mound system, having the existing septic tank pumped and removed (with offsite disposal), completing the tank abandonment form, obtaining the necessary Pine County permits, scheduling and coordinating inspections, notifying the I.H.S. Engineer and Project Manager before installation, and submitting an As-Built System drawing. The contractor is also responsible for yard repairs, grading, dirt cover, and seeding; all required electrical connections and trenching; removal of vegetation and trees for installation; compliance with proper mound prep procedure; and following all requirements in MN Chapter 7080. Instructions to bidders: All proposals must be submitted by mail to the specified P.O. Box and labeled accordingly. Bids must include a signed Mille Lacs Band Bid Form, the completed and signed IHS bid schedule, a copy of the current MLB Vendor's License (or application), current certificate of insurance, and an authorized signature sheet if not already on file. Contractors must comply with Davis Bacon wage requirements and the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe American Indian Employment requirements. Firms must be licensed with the Mille Lacs Band and as MN licensed septic installers. No substitutions will be allowed for specified products. All required permits must be issued before work begins. The Band reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bids submitted by means other than described will be rejected. Submission of a receipt for a paid TERO fee (if applicable) is required with the application for final payment.
