Stair Replacement For The Sumner Co. Courthouse Responses to an Invitation to Bid will be received for Stair Replacement for the Sumner Co. Courthouse. All proposals are subject to the Sumner County Governments conditions and specifications. Detailed requirements can be viewed at www.sumnercountytn.gov. Question Deadline 04/01/2026 All inquiries to proposals will be posted on the Sumner County website 1.) Remove and replace (4) front steps at the courthouse main entrance to include: o Barricade the area off for the duration of the project o Sawcut, demo, and haul off concrete/tile spoils o Railing is to be carefully removed to be reinstalled o Excavate for new concrete footing below grade, estimated 70 LF x 5' wide o Furnish and install #4 rebar every 1' OC o #4 verticals will be stubbed up to tie the steps into the footing o Prep, place, and finish concrete footing 1' thick o 4000 psi / air / rebar / trowel finish o Set (6) sets of rails in desired locations (Use existing handrails that are to be removed before demo) o Form, prep, place, and finish approx. (4) 70 LF stamped concrete steps o 4000 psi / air / rebar / color / stamped / antique and sealer o Concrete must be stained to match the existing tile. 2.) Clean up and leave affected work areas in a clean and orderly fashion 3.) Equipment capable of producing more than 3,000 PSI shall not be permitted on courthouse concrete surfaces. The contractor shall be responsible for ensuring that all equipment used complies with this limitation. Any damage to the existing concrete caused by the contractor's operations shall be repaired or replaced at the contractor's sole expense. 4.) All permitting, labor, material, and equipment costs must be included in the contractor's bid to include a 10% contingency in the final bid. 5.) Contractor must include a schedule/timeline for the project; projecting start to finish. 6.) Any whole, unbroken tile must be returned to Sumner County Maintenance upon removal. 7.) Work can be conducted during normal business hours. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
