The County of Yolo is seeking proposals from qualified consultants and firms to provide On-Call Consulting Services for Construction Building Inspection Services, Special Building Inspections and Material Testing Services, and Asbestos & Hazardous Materials Testing. Services are to be provided on an as-needed basis, and there is no guarantee of a minimum amount of work under any contract. The categories of services for this solicitation are: - Construction Building Inspection Services: Inspection services to determine current condition, remaining design life, and necessary repairs for building structures, including concrete, doors and windows, electrical, finishes, masonry, mechanical, metals, sitework, moisture protection, wood and plastics. Includes accessibility planning and compliance with safety, health, and historic preservation regulations. - Special Building Inspections and Material Testing Services: Inspection and consultation for specific construction projects, including testing and observation of materials, fabrication, erection, and placement of components critical to structural integrity. - Asbestos and Hazardous Materials Testing: Testing for hazardous materials, including asbestos, lead, mercury, biohazards, chemicals, and mold. Proposers may submit for one or more categories. Minimum requirements include at least five years of experience, provision of references from similar work, compliance with prevailing wage requirements and registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations, and possession of relevant California licenses or certifications. Insurance must be secured per requirements. The initial contract term is three years, with possible one-year extensions for a total of up to six years. Proposals must be submitted electronically as specified. Required proposal content and format must follow all instructions and include all required forms and exhibits. Cost or pricing information is not to be included in the initial proposal and will be requested only from qualified vendors after evaluation. Failure to meet proposal requirements may result in disqualification. All communications must go through the designated RFQ Coordinator. The County reserves rights regarding proposal rejection, cancellation of the process, and negotiation with finalists.
