Macon County will accept sealed bids for the Macon County Veterans Memorial Recreation Park Tree Removal and Clearing project. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder taking into consideration quality, performance, and the time specified in the proposal for performing the contract. Macon County reserves the right to reject any or all bids. SCOPE OF WORK _ Area 1: See attached aerial. Remove all trees and underbrush 1 inch and up within 20ft of pavements edge in this location from pink ribbon to pink flag. _ Area 2: See attached aerial. Remove all trees and underbrush 1 inch and up within this location. _ Area 3: De-vine all trees in this area to a height of 6ft above grade. _ Remove all trees throughout park that have an orange ribbon attached to them. Approx 31 trees. _ Remove all trees throughout park that have a pink ribbon attached to them. -At these locations remove all trees and underbrush 1inch and up within a 20ft radius of the ribboned tree. Approx 1 trees. _ Limb all trees throughout park that have a red ribbon attached to them. Approx. 2 trees. _ Contractor is responsible for protecting all public and private utilities and structures from damage. _ All debris, trees, limbs, etc._ are to be removed from the site and disposed of. _ Stumps should be flush cut and can be left in place at a height no greater than 8 inches above grade.
