Construction Inspection Services for the Speedway Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) expansion project within the Town of Speedway, Indiana. Proposals are requested for construction inspection services for the Speedway WWTP expansion project. Letters of Interest must be submitted electronically as a PDF and be limited to twelve (12) 8 1/2 " x 11" pages, including identification, qualifications, key staff, and project approach. Any submissions made after the deadline will not be considered. Consultants will be selected by a committee composed of representatives from the Town's administration and public works for recommendation to the Town Council. The Project , of which the Work under the Contract Documents is a part , is generally described as follows : the installation of an expansion to the Speedway WWTP wet weather system , including a new combined sewer tank as well as a separate wet weather treatment facility , UV equipment , and all other associated work as required by the Contract Documents to provide a fully operational wastewater treatment plant within Speedway . Project Location : 4251 West Vermont Street , Indianapolis , IN 46222 Construction Inspection Services ( CI ) including the following scope of work : A. Organize pre - construction meeting and record meeting minutes . Minutes to be reviewed with Town prior to distribution to the project team . B. Organize monthly construction progress meetings and record meeting minutes . Minutes to be reviewed with Town prior to distribution to the project team . C. Review project plans and specifications and ensure construction is being completed in compliance with contract documents . Scope should include coordination with the engineers of record (EORs) as needed . D. Review and recommend pay applications to the Town for approval . E. Monitor construction progress while on-site : 1. The scope will include an inspector being present on site for two (2), ten -hour workdays per week while construction is active on site . 2 . Scope shall also include up to ten ( 10) visits for attendance at critical milestones , such as but not exclusively : i Rebar inspections for CSO tank and wet weather treatment building , ii Concrete pours for CSO tank and wet weather treatment building , and iii Start -up of UV, cloth media disc filters , and pumps. The Town will not pay more than base hourly rates for overtime (e.g. no " time -and -a-half " pay ) . The Town will not pay for drive time but will reimburse for mileage at the standard federally accepted rate (FAR ) adjusted yearly .
