Remodeling of an educational facility in Yucaipa, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.
The Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District is seeking sealed bids from qualified, experienced, and licensed contractors for the construction/installation of district flooring at Chapman Heights Elementary School. Bidders must have a CSLB-issued contractor license with classification B or C-15. Bids must be submitted with bid security as described in the instructions. The project is subject to public works labor laws, requiring contractor and subcontractor registration with the DIR and payment of prevailing wages. Surety bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract will be required. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is required for all bidders. The award will be based on the lowest total bid amount, including base bid plus contingency. Substitution of securities in lieu of retention is permitted as provided in the general provisions. The successful bidder must post all required job-site notices and attend a mandatory preconstruction conference to review labor-law requirements.
