Renovation of a library in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 17,600-square-foot library.
Bids are requested for the Wethersfield Library Interior Renovations project at Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT. Bid packages include Gypsum Drywall and General Trades, Acoustical Ceilings (Set-Aside), Flooring, Painting (Set Aside), Fire Suppression System, HVAC & Plumbing System, and Electrical System. Bids over $1,000,000 require a Department of Administrative Services Prequalification Certificate and update (bid) Statement. Bid Bonds are required, and the successful bidder must provide Performance, Labor, and Material Payment Bonds for 100% of the contract sum. The project is governed by Connecticut Department of Labor statutes and regulations and requires compliance with affirmative action, equal employment, and non-discrimination statutes. Minority and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to apply. Bidding documents are only available through Downes Construction Co., LLC. Bidder attendance at the pre-bid conference is strongly encouraged but not mandatory.
