The project consists of the construction of: a gravity sewer line connecting to an existing line; an influent lift station with appurtenant equipment, the wastewater treatment plant's foundation, a blower/control building, an effluent pump station and an effluent force main (to the point shown on the plans), installation of all interconnecting piping, installation of miscellaneous yard piping, miscellaneous sidewalks and concrete flatwork, a concrete access drive and parking area, and all electrical controls, generator, wiring, connections, yard lights, etc., to provide a complete and functional system as shown on the plans and described in the project specifications. Miscellaneous finish grading and seeding of the area shown inside the fenceline on the plans must be accomplished prior to contract closeout. Backfill around structures shall be accomplished as a part of this contract. The wastewater treatment plant, cloth media disk filter, and chlorine contact basin shall be provided and installed by others. The General Contractor shall be required to coordinate all deliveries and installation work. Sealed proposals are requested for the construction of the Wastewater Treatment Facility - Civil Work serving Dakota Heights, Phase 1, LJA Job No. NT340-0371A. Bidders must register and submit electronic bids at https://www.civcastusa.com, where they are to enter their proposed pricing and upload only the bid security. Hard copy bids may also be submitted to the office of LJA Engineering, Inc. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held for all bidders. The responsible bidder judged most advantageous to the District will be selected, with the District reserving the right to reject any or all bids. Bid security in the form of a bid bond or cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid submitted must accompany each bid. Compliance with Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code, is required and failure to comply may result in termination of the contract.
