Sealed proposals are requested for the Coosa Central High School Softball Improvements. Bidders must provide a cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Coosa County Board of Education in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, not exceeding $10,000. Performance and Payment Bonds, as well as evidence of insurance, are required at contract signing. Bid documents may be examined at the Architect's office or at and can be obtained via with a refundable deposit or as free electronic PDF copies. Bid bonds must be from a bonding company licensed to do business in the State, with a Power of Attorney, and shall guarantee that the bidder will not withdraw their bid for sixty days after bid closing, and will enter into a contract if accepted. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the Architect. Bidders for amounts above the threshold set by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed and provide their license number on the bid envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive technical errors. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held electronically. A company employee attending the pre-bid conference must have qualifications and experience with the type of construction in the project. Nonresident bidders must include a written legal opinion regarding contract preferences from their state of domicile. Construction of a new athletic support facilities to be shared by baseball and football complexes. Buildings will include a new concession and restroom facility, ticket booth and entry plaza, covered practice facility, and new dugouts (alternate 2). Site work will include new concrete paving, fencing, and minor grading improvements.
