The Contractor shall furnish all labor, insurance, equipment, materials and power for the complete performance of the Calhoun St Sewer Separation (PH II of Belmont Separation) project, which includes installation of approximately 1,500 linear feet of storm sewer, 18 drainage structures, and street restoration, all in accordance with the Bidding Documents as prepared by the City Utilities Engineering Department, City of Fort Wayne, Indiana. No Bid will be accepted from, or contract awarded to, any person, firm, or corporation that is in arrears to the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana, upon any debt or contract, or who has failed to execute, in whole or in part in a satisfactory manner, any contract with the City; or who is a defaulter as to surety or otherwise, upon any obligation to the City, or is engaged in litigation with the City. Project bid documents must be downloaded from QuestCDN which will add your company to the Planholder List and allow access to vBid online bidding for the submittal of your bid (which is required for this project). Bidders will be charged a fee to submit a bid electronically. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount no less than one hundred percent of the contract price. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids for failure to comply with applicable laws and/or with the Instructions to Bidders. The Board also reserves the right to waive any defect in any bid. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Design Manager in writing. Questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The City of Fort Wayne's goal for utilization of qualified Emerging Business Enterprises (EBE) as subcontractors on City projects is 10% of the Contract Price. The Federal government has established a combined participation goal of 12% for Women Business Enterprises and Minority Business Enterprises.
