The project consists of rehabilitating the existing Alexander and Railroad pump station by replacing pumps, valves, valve vault, electrical equipment, performing site work, installing guide rails, replacing the top of the wet well and access hatches, and associated work. Bids are invited for all materials, labor, tools, and services necessary to complete the improvements as shown on the Construction Plans and described in the Contract Specifications. Each bid must include a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or satisfactory Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. For bids exceeding $50,000, the Certificate of Responsibility Number must be indicated on the outside of the sealed proposal as required by Mississippi Law. For bids not exceeding $50,000, the Certificate Number must be indicated or the phrase "Bid does not exceed $50,000." The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities and may hold bids for up to ninety days for review and investigation of bidder qualifications before awarding the contract.
