Bids are invited for all materials, labor, tools, and services necessary to install the electrical platforms per design shown on the construction plans and as described in the contract specifications. The project generally consists of constructing platforms for electrical components including driven prestressed concrete piles, cast in place concrete cap, pre-cast concrete, steel frame and stairs, metal decking, metal roof, and cement fiber façade. Electrical components must be installed and distribution power connected to new components. A certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid must be submitted with each bid. For bids exceeding $50,000 the bidder must indicate his Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed proposal as required by Mississippi Law. For bids not exceeding $50,000, the bidder must either indicate the certificate number or write clearly 'Bid does not exceed $50,000.' The City of Long Beach, Mississippi, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held for up to ninety (90) days from the date of the opening for review and investigation before awarding the contract.
