Sealed bids will be received for the Athletic Locker Rooms at Kankakee Community College. Lump sum bid proposals are required and must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or bank draft equal to ten percent of the base bid amount. Bids must be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held for all bidders. The College reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive irregularities. Bidders must comply with Illinois law regarding prevailing wages and labor requirements, including Equal Employment Opportunity laws. Bidding documents are available for a refundable deposit and only full sets will be provided. All questions about the bid must be submitted in writing to the designated architect's representative. The interior renovation of Home Team and Visiting Team Locker Rooms consisting of approximately 3,600 SF of space within the Athletic Building. Renovation work includes: demolition, new partitions and finishes, and new doors/frames. All mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work is included in the project. The Owner has established an aspirational goal of 2% MBE / WBE / PBE / DBE participation for this project. An overall Business Enterprise Program (BEP) goal has been established for this project. A minimum of 2% of the Cost of Work shall be assigned to BEP Companies associated with the construction of this project. BEP participation shall be identified in Section 00 43 39 and submitted with the Bid Form. Failure to meet the goals indicated may result in rejection of the Bid.
