Renovation of an educational facility in Kankakee, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a post-secondary education facility.
The Board of Trustees of the Kankakee Community College District No. 520 is requesting bids for the carpet project. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of existing flooring materials in designated areas of the college. Work shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Removal and disposal of approximately. 4,400 SQFT of existing carpet and associated cove base. Furnish and install approximately 4,400 SQFT of new carpet: o Manufacturer: Shaw o Style name: Archromatic 18 x 36 o Style number 5T107 o Color name : Black o Color number: 07505 Furnish and install new Cove Base: Manufacturer: Roppe Series: 700 Height: 4.5" Color: 100 Black or equivalent Work will be performed in the following areas of the college: HCCE Hallway HCCE Student collaboration spaces in hallway Project Notes and Requirements The contractor is responsible for all removal and proper disposal of demolished materials. The contractor is responsible for all floor preparation required for the installation of new carpet. The contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to skim coat the substrate using manufacturer-recommended products to ensure proper preparation for new carpet tile installation. All measurements must be field verified. Bidders may contact Nate Raimondo at (815) 304-3826 to schedule a site inspection and verify quantities. Work may not begin prior to May 18. Work must be completed by July 31st The college will be responsible for all furniture relocation. The contractor is responsible for providing and installing any required transition pieces. The bidder must include an additional 5% of the total installation material for stock. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
