An Office Renovation For The Marshall County DA The project consists of the construction of an office renovation for the Marshall County District Attorney, located on the first floor of the Marshall County Courthouse, 424 Blount Avenue, Guntersville, AL 35976. The renovation covers approximately 7,000 square feet and includes demolition, new partitions, new finishes, and new MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems. Bidders are instructed to deliver sealed bids to the Marshall County Commission Chambers, 424 Blount Avenue, Third Floor, Guntersville, AL 35976 prior to 2:00 p.m. Bids may not be submitted electronically or by facsimile. Monetary deductions or additions written on the outside of the sealed envelope pertaining to each bid turn in will be accepted. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Marshall County District Attorney in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, up to a maximum of $10,000. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance will be required at contract signing. Drawings and specifications can be examined at the office of Chapman Sisson Architects, 305 Church St SW, Suite 805, Huntsville, AL 35801. Bid documents are available in both printed and digital forms after the specified date. Physical copies require a $200 refundable deposit per set, with deposit refunded for bona fide bidders upon timely return in good condition. A pre-bid conference is recommended but not required. All bids must be on proposal forms supplied by Chapman Sisson Architects or copies thereof. Bidders exceeding the amount established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must display their current license number on the sealed envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technical errors as deemed necessary. All bid documents are subject to Alabama's Open Records Laws. Nonresident bidders must include an attorney's opinion regarding state preferences for public contracts. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
