Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lee Center, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Bids will be received for tonnage not to exceed 6,000+ tons of Item 403.13(A), Type 3, Modified Binder Asphalt concrete, Bituminous Paving to be installed on certain parts of public Town Roadways, Town Park Roadways and Town Facilities Parking Areas as designated by the Town Highway Superintendent. The product and its application must meet the specified bid criteria. Detailed specifications and proposals are available online. Bids may require New York State Department of Transportation approval prior to award. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose item meets the specifications and is approved, if necessary, by the New York State Department of Transportation. In the event of identical bids as to price, the Town may award the bid to either bidder. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, re-advertise, or accept the bid best suited to the Town's needs. Each bid must be accompanied by a 10% bid bond, cash, or certified check. Unsuccessful bidders will receive deposits after the contract is awarded. The successful bidder must post a 100% performance bond at contract award. No bids may be withdrawn for thirty days after opening. A non-collusive bidding certificate, as required by New York State law, must be included. Any bid not properly executed will be void.
