Sealed proposals are requested for general construction work for re-roofing at the Joseph M. Barry Career & Technical Education Center for Nassau BOCES. Bidders must submit bids using the standard proposal form, enclose them in sealed opaque envelopes bearing the job name, bid number, opening date, and the bidder's name and address. The bid must include a certified check or bid bond equal to ten percent of the total bid amount as a commitment to enter into a contract and provide additional required security. The bidder must also submit a separate sealed list of subcontractors to be used for plumbing, gas fitting, heating, air conditioning, ventilating, electric wiring, and fixtures, including the agreed payment for each. Any subsequent change in subcontractors will require approval. Bidders are required to hold their bid price for forty-five days after the opening. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality, and accept the bid deemed in the best interest of Nassau BOCES.
