Sealed proposals are being solicited for HVAC VRF Upgrades at the Robert E. Lupinskie Center. There are two contracts under this bid: Contract M - HVAC Construction Work and Contract E - Electrical Construction Work. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form as required by the specifications and submitted in sealed opaque envelopes bearing the job name, bidders name, and address. The bidder must include a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid. Each bid must also be accompanied by a separate sealed list naming each subcontractor for plumbing and gas fitting, steam heating, hot water heating, ventilating and air conditioning apparatus, and electric wiring and standard illuminating fixtures, along with the agreed-upon amount to be paid to each. Changes to this list after bid opening require owner approval for legitimate construction need. Only contract documents obtained from the designated planroom are considered official. The Board intends to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder who meets the specifications, experience, technical, and budget requirements, but reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informality, and accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the Board.
