Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Greenville, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The project consists of roadway pavement improvements utilizing a one course surface treatment (seal coat) on various Hunt County roads. This is intended to establish a one-year unit price contract for seal coat work assigned by Hunt County. Specific road locations and quantities are not known at the time of bidding, and work will be assigned throughout the contract period by written work orders. Bidders must include a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the largest possible bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Bids must be submitted as one marked original, four copies, and one electronic copy on USB. Hunt County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest and best bid. It is further agreed by both PARTIES hereto, that all questions of dispute or adjustment presented by the CONTRACTOR shall be in writing and filed with the ENGINEER within a reasonable time after the ENGINEER has given any direction, order or instruction to which the CONTRACTOR desires to take exception. The ENGINEER shall reply to such written exceptions by the CONTRACTOR and render his final decision in writing. Such decisions shall be final and conclusive.
