Renovation of a library in Lake Zurich, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
The project consists of an interior renovation at the Ela Area Public Library including flooring replacement, acoustic improvements, lighting replacement, and miscellaneous electrical improvements. Prospective bidders should contact Kirstie Greatsinger at Lamp Incorporated to be placed on the bid list and granted access to Smart Bid to download drawings for free. Lamp Incorporated will use Smart Bid for the entire bidding process. All contractors intending to bid must have a Lamp Incorporated Qualification Statement on file, updated within the last year, completed through Smart Bid. Contractors’ qualification statements are due prior to the bid due date. A Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 10% of the bid is to accompany the Bid Form. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the bid amount, with sureties approved by the owner, and Certificate of Insurance within ten days of the award of the contract. All Performance and Payment Bonds will be in accordance with the requirements stated in the AIA 232 General Conditions. The successful bidder is required to pay Prevailing Wage for work under this Contract and shall submit certified payroll records in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Ela Area Public Library Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or waive any bid irregularities. The project is tax exempt.
