Renovation of a multi-residential development in Woburn, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Replacement of 200 front and rear storm/screen doors, and 150 pair of vinyl window shutters at all eleven buildings (2nd floor front only) at the 19-1 Spring Court Extension Housing Development, including all related work. A. The Work under the Contract consists of: 1. Replacement storm/screen doors and window shutters at eleven (11) buildings at the 19-1 Spring Court Extension Housing Development, as shown on the drawings, including all related work. a. Remove & dispose of 200 existing front & rear storm/screen doors. b. Supply & install 200 new front & rear storm/screen doors. c. Remove & dispose of 150 pair of existing window shutters at second floor, front elevation of each building. d. Supply & install 150 pair of new vinyl window shutters at second floor, front elevation of each building. e. Provide 5 pair (10 shutters) of new vinyl window shutters to the owner (attic stock). B. In addition, the Work under the Contract includes: 1. Work outside the Project Site as called for in the Contract Documents and as required for the performance of the Work. 2. The restoration of any items damaged or destroyed by encroaching upon areas outside the Project Site. 3. Providing and restoring, where appropriate, all temporary facilities. Bids must be submitted online and accompanied by a bid deposit of not less than five percent of the greatest possible bid amount. Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance in the category of General Building Construction and submit a current Certificate of Eligibility and a signed Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. The work is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, HUD forms, Chapter 14, and Equal Employment requirements. Bidders must contract with minority and women business enterprises certified by the Supplier Diversity Office, with a combined participation goal of not less than 10.4% of the final contract price. The work is estimated to cost $ 200,000.00 The combined participation goal reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 10.4% of the final contract price. MBE (15.3%), WBE (6.9%) Completion- 75 consecutive calendar days.
