The DuBois Housing Authority is seeking bids from qualified Contractors for the DHA Elevator Modernizations at Gateway Towers located at 21 E. Long Avenue, DuBois, Pennsylvania. The Bids shall be on a lump-sum basis. All prime bidders are required to buy the full set of plans and specifications. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Authority and must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in a dollar amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid. Submit all required documents in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the appropriate contract (General Elevator Contract, Electrical Contract or Mechanical Contract). The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. Compliance with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity requirements for federally assisted contracts is required. The project is subject to federal prevailing wage rates; the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project. Bidders are notified that the project is a Section 3 project, and the successful bidder must use project-area businesses and direct newly created employment/subcontracting opportunities to Section 3 residents to the greatest extent feasible. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and consider the competency and responsibility of the Bidders in awarding the contract.
