Sussex County is requesting bids for the construction of a new paramedic station in Lincoln, Delaware, which will house a garage, crew area, bunk room, kitchen, office, and related staff and support areas. The completed work will include site work, grading, paving, utilities, stormwater management, concrete, wood framing, wood trusses, shingle roofing, vinyl siding, wood studs and drywall, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as indicated on the project drawings. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, and incidentals, and shall perform all operations required to completely finish all of the work in the manner approved by the architect and owner. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee equivalent to ten percent of the amount of the base bid and all alternates, which may be a certified check or a bid bond secured by a surety authorized to do business in Delaware. The bid guarantee shall be made payable to Sussex County Council. All questions must be submitted in writing no later than five business days prior to the bid opening. If any portion of a response contains trade secrets, proprietary, or other confidential information, it must be isolated and identified in writing, together with a statement in support of its designation as such. Sussex County reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids.
