Site work and paving for a road / highway in Beavercreek, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work for which proposals are invited consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and material for the milling and resurfacing of Pentagon Blvd between Grange Hall Rd and N Fairfield Rd. All curb ramps that do not meet ADA requirements within the resurfacing area will be upgraded, and all other work as may be necessary to complete the contract in accordance with the plans and specifications. . Bidders must obtain the contract documents from the City Engineer's office and are required to have appropriate qualifications with the Ohio Department of Transportation prior to the bid opening date. Each bidder must ensure non-discrimination in hiring practices. Bidders must comply with applicable prevailing wage rates and ensure all steel and iron products used are made in the United States and comply with specified regulations. The City of Beavercreek reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, and hold proposals for up to sixty days. Changes made to Maintenance of Traffic quantities include two applications of work zone pavement markings. Drainage and storm sewer work has been removed from the project. Notes have been added to the Special Provisions to clarify how items are to be installed and what shall be included in the item unit cost. Work is permitted either during the day or at night, the Contractor shall inform the City of their schedule after the bid is awarded. The total depth for pavement repair shall be 8", the width is to be determined by the Engineer. This note has been added to the Special Provisions The minimum length of curb replacement is typically 5'-7', from joint to joint. The sections for replacement will be identified by the City prior to work commencing. There is no work to infiltration trenches intended with this project. Note has been added to the Special Provisions regarding pavement planing operations. Traffic is allowed on milled surfaces in accordance with ODOT's wedging for drop-offs detail. The surface course must be placed within 72 hours of milling. Note has been added to the Special Provisions regarding curb ramps. Submit all Prebid Questions in writing via the City of Beavercreeks Public Works email: engineering@beavercreekohio.gov The engineers est. is $996,333.66
