The Town of Wilmington, VT is seeking proposals from qualified painters for painting the exterior doors and trim at Memorial Hall. The scope of work emphasizes careful preparation due to the age and materials of the building, requiring adherence to the Secretary of Interiors Standards and Preservation Brief #10 regarding exterior paint problems on historic woodwork. Qualified contractors must demonstrate experience in these areas and use the best possible materials, caulks, primers, and finish coats. The awarded contractor will need to provide proof of general liability insurance and worker's compensation coverage.
