West Bloomfield School District is accepting sealed bids for asbestos abatement prior to demolition at Doherty Elementary School. The project is to be completed in August 2026, before proposed building demolition activities. Scope includes removal and disposal of all asbestos materials, including but not limited to fire doors, fire door frames, floor tile, window caulk, and door caulk. Instructions to bidders: Sealed bids must be mailed or delivered to the specified address. All bids must include a sworn statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner(s) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education or the Superintendent, in accordance with MCL 380.1267. Bids must also include a sworn statement certifying the bidder is not an Iran linked business, as per MCL 129.313. Bids lacking these notarized statements will not be accepted. The School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, or to waive informalities or irregularities as deemed in its best interest.
