The work shall consist of new sidewalk construction including 11,060 square feet of PCC Sidewalk (5" & 6"), 1,965 square yards of Topsoil Furnish & Place (4"), 1,326 square feet of Sidewalk Removal, 920 cubic yards of Removal & Disposal of Unsuitable Materials, 1,549 feet of Perimeter Erosion Barrier, 372 square yards of HMA Driveway Pavement, 639 feet of Combination Concrete Curb and Gutter, and other related work. Prequalification of bidders in accordance with Check Sheet LRS6 of the Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions will be required of all bidders on this proposal. MBE/WBE/PBE and Section 3 firms are encouraged to submit proposals. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the Village or the Department of Labor, or as determined by the Court on Review, shall be paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work as indicated in the special provisions to the specifications. All proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by the Village, which may be obtained electronically by contacting HR Green, Inc. All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the amount of not less than five percent of bid, or as provided in applicable parts of "Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals" (Check Sheet LRS 6). The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities. New PCC sidewalk, concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, driveway pavement removal & replacement, and all necessary collateral work to construct the Improvements. a total distance of 1,871 feet, of which a distance of 1,871 feet, ( 0.35 miles) are to be improved.
