This Request for Sealed Bids (RFB) is for the purpose of contracting with a qualified firm to Provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the removal of parkway trees and stump grinding of parkway trees; disposal of removed debris, site restoration; traffic control; and all other work specified herein. Question Deadline 10/20/2025 at 12:00 PM CT Contractor Questions Submitted via Email to cward@caryillinois.com, 10/23/2025 Vendor Questions Answered via Addendum on online by 3:00 PM A bid bond for not less than five (5) percent of the bid amount must accompany all bids as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract. A bank cashier's check or certified check equal to the amount specified is acceptable in lieu of a bid bond. Payment and performance bonds for no less than the bid amount must be provided upon award of bid. Bid securities shall be released as follows: 1. The successful Bidder's security shall be retained until the required performance bond has been furnished. 2. Bid securities of the proposing Bidders shall be held until the successful Bidder's performance bond has been furnished, at which time the bid securities will be promptly returned to the unsuccessful Bidders. The Village reserves the right at any time and for any reason to cancel this RFB and to reject any or all bids, or to accept a portion of the bid or any alternate bid. The Village reserves the right to waive any immaterial defect in any proposal. Unless otherwise specified by the offeror, the Village has no less than one hundred and twenty (120) days to accept. The Village may seek clarification from the contractor at any time and failure to respond promptly is cause for rejection. The Village may require submission of the best and final offers. Award shall be made by the Village to the most responsive and responsible contractor whose bid is determined to be the most advantageous, taking into consideration price and the evaluation criteria set forth herein below. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, and to accept that bid which is considered to be in the best interest of the Village. Any such decision shall be considered final.
