Fabricating, furnishing, and installing wayfinding signage for the Village of Cary. Question Deadline 07/21/2025 at 12:00 PM CT Questions Submitted via Email to cward@caryillinois.com The scope of services includes fabrication and installation of signs, including signposts and hardware, as specified herein. Some signs are to be fabricated by the Firm and installed by Owner. The bid submittal form specifies which sign number/location will be installed by the Firm or Owner. The Firm shall provide each piece of the sign assembly, fully fabricated, but unassembled, for each sign that is to be installed By Owner. The sign assembly includes, but is not limited to, the sign, hardware, posts, and supports required to install the sign as specified. The Firm is responsible for engineering all signs, mounting devices, and supports as specified by ASCE, American Society of Civil Engineers, or greater as per local, state, or federal code. The Firm is responsible for providing an engineered shop drawing detail for each sign type that incorporates all safety features necessary to adequately support the sign for its intended use and purpose, including, but not limited to, breakaway supports. All locations specified for installation by the Firm are to be fully restored to the existing conditions prior to installation. Restoration includes grass, concrete, and all landscaping disturbed by the installer. The Firm is responsible for recording the existing conditions with photos and/or video prior to commencement of work. Refer to the Landscaping & Grading specification for additional details. The Wayfinding Signage Master Plan enclosed herein contains the following items: 1. Project Summary 2. Design Intent Drawings 3. Sign Location Plan 4. Sign Message Schedule 5. Artwork The materials, products, equipment, and performance specifications within the Wayfinding Signage Master Plan describe the standard of required function, dimension, appearance, performance, and quality to be met by the Fabricator. The installer is responsible for removing the existing sign at the sign location including below grade footings and foundations completely, filling with compacted soil, and repairing landscaping. Refer to the demolition specifications for additional detail. All post-mounted signs located in hardscape locations must include breakaway supports. The firm is responsible for verifying all field measurements and conditions prior to fabrication and installation.
