Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Loa, Utah. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The project includes construction of the Meeks Mesa Campground and Trailhead. Work consists of removing and disposing of existing vegetation affected by new construction; constructing new asphalt roads and spurs with line striping and crosswalk hatch; widening State Route 24 with new pavement, lane striping, and culvert extensions; and constructing new concrete group sites, concrete family units, aggregate family units, tent pads, and installing new campground site furniture. Additional work includes installing new family unit shelters and a group site shelter, installing single and double precast concrete vault restrooms, installing directional and regulatory signs, road closure gates, a dumpster pad with enclosure wall, unit markers, a bulletin board with fee tube, barrier rocks, and concrete and aggregate surface paths. The project also requires constructing rockery retaining walls, drainage swales, post and pole fencing, and major and minor site identification signs with stone bases. Bid option work includes constructing native surface trails, constructing berm and boulder cluster pods, and coloring asphalt with mix additive, with associated quantities listed in the Schedule of Items.
