Renovation of an educational facility in North Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are requested for Asbestos Abatement Work for Summer 2026 Renovations. Bid proposals will be received at the specified time and location and opened publicly. A pre-bid meeting and walk-through is encouraged for all bidders along with the Owner and Project Consultant. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cash equal to 5 percent of the total bid must be submitted. The successful contractor must include payment and performance bonds for the work. Bids are to be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope addressed as instructed. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any or all bids, or any irregularities or informalities. All bidders must comply with the applicable Illinois law regarding prevailing wages for public works. Bidding documents and specifications may be obtained after the specified date by contacting the indicated representative or by pre-arranged pick-up at the designated office.
