Bids received earlier than ninety-six (96) hours, (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays), than the time set for opening of bids, as well as bids received after the time set for opening of bids, will not be considered and will be returned unopened. All bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, Contractor's Bid Bond, or irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, made payable to TAIT; and in the event TAIT awards the contract to the bidder and the bidder fails to enter a contract within fifteen (15) days from the making of such award, and furnish the bonds and insurance as required, the amount of the certified check will be retained by TAIT as liquidated damages; or, if a bid bond or letter of credit is submitted, the amount not less than 5% of the bid will be immediately due and owing to TAIT. The performance, statutory and maintenance bonds must be for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. TAIT reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor technicalities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the opening thereof.
