**As of May 18, 2026, the project was awarded to Mark Sand & Gravel Co., with an awarded amount of $228,116.90** This Work consists of furnishing, installing, maintaining, and removing all traffic control devices required to provide safe movement of traffic and pedestrians through the Project at all times from commencement of the Work until Project Acceptance. Maintain roads and pedestrian facilities undergoing improvements in a condition that accommodates public traffic. Do not close roads or pedestrian facilities, except as authorized. The Engineer may modify the requirements for traffic control as deemed necessary. The City will maintain Detour Roads established by the Commissioner for through traffic diverted from the Project unless otherwise indicated in the Plan. The use of maintenance crossovers in or near the construction area is permitted if authorized by the Engineer. The Contractor is not responsible for snow removal from roads or pedestrian facilities open to public traffic. Do not suspend operations for the winter until meeting the requirements of 1803.4, "Temporary Suspensions". During authorized winter suspension, the City will maintain traffic control devices. If traffic control devices are damaged or destroyed, the City will pay the Contractor the value of the device as determined by the Engineer. The project consists of public improvements for the Fergus Falls Multi Use Path, PI No. 9775, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. The work must be performed in accordance with provided Drawings and Project Manual and includes the following major items: Mobilization (1 Lump Sum), Clearing and Grubbing (1 Lump Sum), Excavation-Common (2380 Cu Yd), Common Embankment (CV) (1435 Cu Yd), Aggregate Base Class 5 (990 Tons), Type SP 12.5 Wearing Course Mix (3,C) (740 Tons), 6" Concrete Walk (280 Sq Ft), Sediment Control Long Type Straw (5691 Lin Ft), and Turf Establishment (1 LS). Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond payable to the City of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract if awarded. Only bids accompanied by such bond will be considered. All bids must be submitted on proposal blanks furnished by the City of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, in a sealed envelope marked "Fergus Falls Multi Use Path, PI No. 9775" if submitted by mail. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities, to hold the bids for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days, and to hold the three low bids for up to ninety (90) days from the bid opening.
