Remodeling of a fire / police facility in South Weber, Utah. Completed plans call for the remodel of a fire / police facility.

Question Deadline 04/03/2026 at 12:00 PM MT Questions regarding this bid request shall be directed to: David Larson South Weber City 801-479-3177 x 2207 DLarson@southwebercity.gov The South Weber Fire Station currently has two upstairs bedrooms. South Weber City desires to divide those spaces to create a total of four sleeping quarters. There also is an interior window downstairs that needs to be framed in. An Overview Drawing is provided as Exhibit 1 at the end of the bid document. The work includes, but is not limited to: South Bedroom o Construct approximately 14 linear feet of wall including: o framing o drywall o removal of a small wall segment o approximately 12 feet in room and 2-foot divider wall at entrance o No door installation required o Install one 40" x 52" single-hung exterior window in an 8-inch block exterior wall o Engineering required o Install overhead lighting o Provide associated electrical wiring for light and switch o Prepare and paint new construction surfaces North Bedroom o Construct approximately 20 linear feet of wall including: o framing o drywall o Install two doors, each sized 2'-6" o Install one 40" x 52" single-hung exterior window in an 8-inch block exterior wall o Engineering required o Install overhead lighting o Provide associated electrical wiring for lights and switch o Prepare and paint new construction surfaces Downstairs Office Wall While on site, contractor shall also complete the following additional work: o Frame in an existing interior window opening measuring 72" x 40" o Install drywall o Paint to match surrounding area as closely as practical 2. Scope of Work The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, engineering, disposal, and incidentals necessary to complete the project in a professional and workmanlike manner. Work shall include all associated demolition, framing, drywall finishing, door installation, window installation, cutting and patching of the block wall, electrical work, painting, and cleanup necessary for a complete project, whether specifically listed or reasonably implied. 3. Contractor Requirements Bidders shall: o Be properly licensed to perform the work described o Be insured, including general liability and workers compensation coverage o Obtain any required permits Coordinate any required structural or engineering review for installation of the new exterior windows in the 8-inch block walls o Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and safety requirements 4. Site Conditions Bidders are encouraged to visit the site and verify existing conditions prior to submitting a bid. Bid Submission Bids shall include: o Contractor name, address, phone number, and license number o Total not-to-exceed bid amount with detailed breakdown of costs o Estimated project schedule, including anticipated start and completion o Separate identification of any exclusions or assumptions o Identification of subcontractors proposed for electrical, window, or specialty work, if applicable o Proof of insurance upon request South Weber City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the City.
