The Project is located at Tracy Municipal Airport, 5749 S. Tracy Boulevard, Tracy, California. Work includes repainting the markings on Runway 12-30 and Runway 8-26 and the associated cross taxiways. Bids are required for the entire project work and shall be made upon the Bid Forms in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Sealed bids will be accepted at the City Clerk's Office by or before the designated date and time, and bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter. The contract time is six working days from the start of work after receipt of the FAA grant funding. Liquidated damages of three thousand dollars per calendar day will be assessed for failure to complete within the specified time. Contractors must possess a valid Class A, General Engineering Contractor's License or C32, Parking and Highway Improvement Contractor License prior to award of Contract as approved by the Council. Proof of DIR Registration must be submitted with the Bid Proposal. Performance and payment bonds (each for 100% of the maximum contract price) and a warranty bond (10% of the contract price) will be required from the successful bidder. A completed Subcontractor List must be submitted with the Bid Proposal. The work is subject to prevailing wage requirements at the higher of federal or state rates. The project is contingent on FAA grant funding and must comply with all applicable federal regulations and civil rights statutes. The sponsor encourages participation by small businesses and the use of minority-owned financial institutions.
