Dirt and Gravel Road project on Hammond Road: • Installation of seven new 18" pipes, approximately 280 feet • Replacement of three 18" pipes, approximately 120 feet • Pipes should be installed as shallow as practical with a minimum of 2% fall throughout • Pipe installation must follow Dirt & Gravel Road Specifications • Install headwall and endwall on all pipes per Dirt & Gravel Road Specifications • Each 20 foot section of pipe requires half a triaxle load of 2RC • R4 is to be used on inlet and outlet protection where necessary • All disturbed ground post construction must be seeded and mulched • Estimated 1,468 tons of 2A shall be placed as a road base at a depth of 6 inches and compacted Culvert work must be completed by June 19, 2026. The road cannot be closed while school is in session. Road shaping must be done no more or less than one week to 10 days prior to DSA placement to avoid segregation. DSA placement is scheduled for between August 1 and August 14. Road shaping contractor and DSA placement contractor must coordinate their schedules. Prevailing wages apply. Interested bidders must attend a mandatory on-site meeting to review the project. A performance bond or certified check totaling 100% of the contract amount is required from the successful bidder within 20 days of contract award. The municipality reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
