Renovation of an educational facility in Arcadia, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The project is for roofing services at Camino Grove Elementary School. Bids are to be submitted according to the specifications in Bid No. 230:25-26. The General Contractor must ensure that all subcontractors meet all requirements and certifications at the time of bid. All bids must be made on forms provided by the district and conform to the contract documents. Attendance at a mandatory job walk and pre-bid conference at Camino Grove Elementary School is required. Contractors and any subcontractors must pay at least the prevailing wage rates and provide certified payroll. A C-39 Contractor's License is required. All contractors must be registered with the DIR to bid on public works projects. There is a District goal of 3 percent DVBE participation. No bidder may withdraw their bid for sixty days after the bid opening. Remove and properly dispose of existing built-up roofing, including sheet metal, gutters, and penetration flashings. 2. Repair / replace deteriorated wood sheathing as needed. Replacement to be per unit cost on bid form for each sheathing type. All repairs to be verified with the District prior to commencing. 3. ROOF ASSEMBLIES: Type I - Classrooms _ Over the 1 x 6 spaced sheathing, install R10 poly-iso insulation board, laid loose. _ Over the insulation, install 1/4" Dens Deck Prime cover board, fastened at a rate of one fastener every 3.2 square feet (8 each per 4' x 8' board) in the field, one every two square feet (16 each per 4' x 8' board) in the perimeter, and one every 1 square foot (32 each per 4' x 8' board) using # 12 fasteners. Minimum fastener penetrations shall be 1-1/2" Over the Dens Deck Prime board, install two ply Derbigum GP torch applied roof system with Cool Roof certified CR cap sheet, per specification 07 52 00-30 Year Reroof System. Roof membrane is to be heat weld applied. Type II - Covered Walkways _ Over the 1 x 6 spaced sheathing, install tapered poly-iso insulation board, laid loose. _ Over the insulation, install %" Dens Deck Prime cover board, fastened at a rate of one fastener every 3.2 square feet (8 each per 4' x 8' board) in the field, one every two square feet (16 each per 4' x 8' board) in the perimeter, and one every 1 square foot (32 each per 4' x 8' board) using # 12 fasteners. Minimum fastener penetrations shall be 1-1/2". NOTE: Adhere insulation and cover board at any areas where underside of deck is exposed to avoid fasteners showing. _ Over the Dens Deck Prime board, install two ply Derbigum GP torch applied roof system with Cool Roof certified CR cap sheet, per specification 07 52 00-30 Year Reroof System. Roof membrane is to be heat weld applied. 4. Terminate all roof edge conditions with 24-gauge galvanized metal edge, per Derbigum standard details. Color to be selected by District. Edge detail shall include a minimum 22-gauge galvanized cleat. NOTE: The District standard for edge conditions does notallow a raised gravel stop edge, 5. Install new two-ply membrane flashings at all baseflashings, parapets, and roof equipment curbs. Provide new 24-gauge sheet metal pad flashings. 6. Terminate Flashings with aluminum termination bar and fasteners at 12" O.C. 7. Install Derbigum RS liquid applied reinforced flashings at all pipe, conduit, vent, and support locations. Properly prepare all penetration surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of flashings. 8. Provide new counterflashings at all baseflashing locations. 9. Remove and cover any in-lay gutters throughout campus roofs 10. Provide new exterior gutters at all locations to match existing profile. Gutters to be 24 gauge galvanized (unpainted). 11. Provide 30-year manufacturers warranty.
