Sealed bids are requested for furnishing substation control panels, associated materials, and control panel wiring diagrams for the FES Substation. All work must comply with the specifications and proposed contract as referenced. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the Engineer and include a certified check or bid bond for at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, payable to the City of Fairmont/Public Utilities, with no conditions. Bid security will be forfeited as liquidated damages if the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract and provide a satisfactory performance bond. Materials must be delivered according to the dates in the specifications. The City of Fairmont/Public Utilities reserves the right to defer acceptance of any bid for up to thirty days and to reject any or all bids, entering into such contracts as deemed in its best interest.
