The intent of this project is to remove and remediate building 1777 of bats. The contractor shall provide all labor, supplies and equipment needed to complete this project. The scope includes sealing all potential entry points—cracks, gaps, or holes larger than a dime—except for the primary exits identified during inspection. Materials used include caulk, steel wool, wire mesh, and flashing. One-way doors or exclusion netting are to be installed over the primary entry and exit points, allowing bats to leave but preventing re-entry. These exclusion devices must be left in place for a minimum of 5-10 days, with the duration possibly extended during cool or rainy weather. Once all bats have vacated, the one-way devices are removed and final entry points are permanently sealed. Trained technicians will remove all bat guano, urine-soaked insulation, and nesting debris using proper PPE and minimizing airborne dust. All affected areas are to be treated with disinfectants and enzymatic cleaners. Prior to leaving, the contractor shall conduct site cleanup and return the area to its original condition, removing all old equipment, debris, and trash for proper disposal off government property. After inspection and approval, all required paperwork must be submitted to the Contracting Officer.
