Separate prime contract sealed bids are requested for Boiler Replacements at Herricks Community Center and Herricks High School. Bids will be received at the Administrative Offices located at the Herricks Community Center, New Hyde Park, New York. Complete digital sets of Contract Documents may be obtained online for a non-refundable fee, with the option for hard copies available via deposit. Bidders are responsible for any shipping costs. The bid deposit for hard copies will be returned upon receipt of plans and specifications in good condition within thirty days after the bid date. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference and walk through is scheduled to begin at Herricks High School and continue at the Herricks Community Center, with all prospective bidders strongly encouraged to attend. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or the proposals will be rejected within 45 days of the opening. The School District reserves the discretionary right to waive any informalities, accept or reject any alternatives, reject any proposals, and to advertise for new proposals if deemed in the best interest of the School District. Each proposal must include bid security equal to ten percent of the total amount of the bid as set forth in the instructions. Bidders may not withdraw bids until 45 days after opening, except as provided by law. If construction restrictions are imposed by governmental orders or regulations, the Owner may modify the construction schedule, and the Bidder consents to such modification without additional compensation beyond a time extension at the Owner's discretion. Discrepancies, ambiguities, or doubts as to the intent of the bidding document should be communicated to the Architect in writing for interpretation.
