Renovation of a mixed-use development in North New Hyde Park, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and educational facility.

Separate prime contract sealed bids are invited for Boiler Replacements at Herricks Community Center and Herricks High School. Bids must be submitted to the School District at the Administrative Offices at Herricks Community Center by the specified date and time, and will be publicly opened and read aloud. Only bids with the contract name, contract number, and opening date on the envelope will be valid. No phone, fax, or email bids are accepted. Digital contract documents can be obtained online for a non-refundable fee, with an option for hard copies upon deposit. Bid addenda will be sent via email to registered plan holders and will also be available at referenced websites. Bidders are responsible for their own shipping arrangements if documents are required to be shipped. Hard copy bid deposits will be refunded upon return of plans and specifications in good condition within thirty days after the bid date. Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a non-mandatory pre-bid site walk through. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or proposals rejected within 45 days of opening. The School District reserves the right to waive informalities, accept or reject any alternatives, reject any proposals, and re-advertise if it serves the best interest of the district. Bids may not be withdrawn for forty-five days after opening, except as allowed by law. Each proposal must be accompanied by bid security equal to ten percent of the total bid. Bidders acknowledge that construction schedule modifications may occur due to imposed restrictions and that remedies for such modifications are limited to time extensions at the Owner's discretion. All instructions and terms are fully set forth in the bidding documents. AMBIGUITIES, INTERPRETATIONS, AND ADDENDA A. No oral interpretations, instructions, or explanation of the bid documents will be given prior to the opening of the bids. Discrepancies, ambiguities, or doubts as to the intent of the bidding document should be communicated to the Architect in writing for interpretation. B. Interpretations, clarifications, or corrections will be made in the form of addenda forwarded to each bidder at the address furnished by each bidder and receipt acknowledged on the form of proposal.
