Separate prime contract sealed bids are requested for Boiler Replacements at Herricks Community Center and Herricks High School. Bids must be submitted at the Administrative Offices located at the Herricks Community Center and will be publicly opened and read aloud. Beginning on the specified date, Contract Documents may be examined at the Office of the Architect, and complete digital sets can be obtained online for a non-refundable fee. Hard copies are also available for a deposit, with additional shipping arrangements and costs the responsibility of the bidding party. Deposits for hard copies will be returned if plans and specifications are returned in good condition within thirty days after the bid date. Bid security equal to ten percent of the total bid must be included with each proposal. Bidders should be aware of the Owner's right to modify the construction schedule if restrictions are imposed on construction activities due to orders, laws, regulations, or rules; no additional compensation will be provided for such modifications, with the sole remedy being a possible extension of time. The School District retains the right to waive informalities, accept or reject any alternatives, and reject any or all proposals if it is in the best interest of the District. Bids may not be withdrawn for forty-five days after the bid opening except in conformity with applicable law. No oral interpretations, instructions, or explanation of the bid documents will be given prior to the opening of the bids. Discrepancies, ambiguities, or doubts as to the intent of the bidding document should be communicated to the Architect in writing for interpretation. B. Interpretations, clarifications, or corrections will be made in the form of addenda forwarded to each bidder at the address furnished by each bidder and receipt acknowledged on the form of proposal.
