Sealed bids are invited for furnishing all equipment, labor, and materials, and performing all work incidental to the Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS III-P) at the Clark County Airport, Clark, South Dakota. The primary work includes: Mobilization, Construction Safety Phasing Plan, Temporary Phasing Work, Electrical, Demolition Work, Electrical, AWOS III-P System (complete and commissioned), Terminal/SRE Building Work (Electrical, complete), Vault Building Work (Electrical, complete), installation of 2800 feet of 1/C No. 4 Cu AWG, 600V, THWN-2 in conduit, 1400 feet of 1/C No. 8 Cu AWG, 600V (GND), THWN-2 in conduit, removal and disposal of existing cable, 600 feet of trenching and backfilling or plowing for conduit, 600 feet of non-encased electrical conduit (2-inch, Type I, Sch. 40 PVC in trench or SDR 13 HDPE plowed), 800 feet of non-encased electrical conduit (2-inch, Type III, SDR 11 HDPE bored), 8 cable markers, 5 L-867B (12) Class 1A junction boxes with flat etched steel covers, and other related construction items. Each bid must include a certified check, cashier's check, or draft for five percent (5%) of the total bid, or a ten percent (10%) bid bond from a surety authorized in South Dakota. Payment and performance bonds for 100% of the contract amount will be required. The contractor must commence work within ten days of the "Notice to Proceed," and complete it within the specified time in the specifications. Bidders must comply with federal labor laws, minimum wage rates, affirmative action requirements, and other federal regulations listed in the project specifications. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Engineer a written request for interpretation no later than 5 days prior to bid opening.
