Project DPW-2617 includes providing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and construction methods for roadway resurfacing/reconstruction; installation of new 8" ductile iron water main along with associated appurtenances, valves/vaults, and water services; installation of new 15" storm sewer trunk line and installation of new 12" storm sewer laterals along with associated appurtenances, manholes, catch basins and inlets; sidewalk reconstruction; brick paver installation; parking modifications; streetscape improvements; irrigation systems; fiber optic installation and conduit; street light removal and installation; café lighting; and ADA improvements on Slade Street in the Village. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or bank draft in an amount equal to five percent of the bid, payable to the Village, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute a contract and furnish a contract bond as set forth in the project documents. In case the bidder fails to file such contract and bond, the amount of the check or bid security shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to accept any proposal deemed most favorable to the interests of the Village.
